Clinical Applications Engineer
Time:2025-06-27 Hit:

Key Responsibilities:

1. Clinical On-Site Support & Deployment:

Assist with the installation, debugging, integration, and acceptance of FLASH radiotherapy equipment (including but not limited to linear accelerators, beam transport and control systems) at partner hospitals.
Develop and improve standard operating procedures (SOPs) for equipment, covering key steps such as equipment startup, operation, dose rate control, and pulse parameter settings.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues that arise during clinical use of the equipment (e.g., beam stability, target localization accuracy, system integration failures).

2. Clinical Application Guidance & Technical Training:

Provide on-site support and guidance to doctors, physicists, therapists, and other users in mastering the operations and clinical applications of FLASH radiotherapy equipment.
Guide users in designing precise treatment plans based on specific treatment protocols, optimizing irradiation field settings, dose distribution, and patient positioning.
Organize and implement certification training for hospital physicists and technical staff on equipment operation, dosimetry knowledge, and quality control.

3. Dose Verification, Quality Control & Technical Optimization:

Perform high-precision absolute dose verification (e.g., using water phantom measurement systems) and relative dose distribution verification (e.g., film, PVT, etc.) according to treatment protocols.
Establish and maintain a dosimetric verification system for FLASH radiotherapy and validate TPS dose calculation models.
Guide hospitals in implementing equipment quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) procedures, such as morning checks and performance tests, to ensure long-term stable operation and dose accuracy.

4. Safety Protection & Compliance Management:

Develop and improve safety protection plans for FLASH high-dose rate irradiation, including radiation protection procedures, equipment interlock management, and emergency protocols.
Ensure all clinical application activities strictly comply with national and industry radiation safety, medical device usage laws, and standards (e.g., Radiological Diagnostic and Treatment Management Measures).

5. User Feedback Collection & Product Improvement:

Actively collect feedback from clinical users regarding equipment performance, operation experience, and application outcomes, forming reports for submission to the R&D and product teams.
Participate in product technical improvement discussions and provide frontline clinical application experience to support product iteration and optimization.
Provide clinical requirements for product design to guide product development, while testing product usability and suggesting changes.

Qualifications:

1. Educational Background:

Bachelor's degree or higher in Medical Physics, Accelerator Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Applied Physics, Nuclear Technology, or related fields.
Certification in Radiation Physics (e.g., CAMPEP certification or equivalent) or relevant professional qualifications preferred.

2. Experience:

At least 2 years of experience in clinical application support or medical physics-related work for radiotherapy equipment (e.g., linear accelerators, electron beam therapy systems, proton/heavy ion therapy systems).
Experience in clinical validation, promotion, or operation of new radiotherapy technologies (e.g., SBRT, TomoTherapy, proton therapy, heavy ion therapy) is preferred.
Proficient in the principles of radiotherapy dosimetry and measurement techniques, and familiar with high-energy radiation dosimetry tools (e.g., PTW, SunNuclear detectors, water phantom measurement systems) and common analysis software.

3. Core Competencies:

Proficient in radiotherapy dosimetry calculations, verification, and quality control methods, and familiar with the definition and interpretation of dosimetric parameters.
Familiar with imaging technologies (CT, MRI, PET) used in radiotherapy and proficient in interpreting DICOM-RT data formats.
Familiar with mainstream radiotherapy planning systems (TPS), such as Eclipse, RayStation, Pinnacle.
Programming skills (e.g., Python, Matlab) are a plus, with the ability to independently develop or optimize dose analysis and data processing scripts.

4. Language & Other Requirements:

Good written and verbal communication skills in Chinese, with the ability to clearly and accurately convey technical information.
Good reading comprehension of English, capable of understanding professional technical documentation and literature.
